Actually, you can just open the MAPINFO.PRJ file in Wordpad and type in the
appropriate data according to the format described in the appendix.  It's
fairly intuitive, I've done it a few times.

Sorry, but that appendix does NOT tell you how to add projections, which
are built in algorithms.  If MapInfo doesn't include a projection, you will
have to wait until they add it, unless yu know how to hack it in.  :-)

Coordinates systems, on the other hand, can be added, as the title of the
appendix says.
