But first make sure it's really from hotmail. Most spams are forged, but if you read the Received: headers from bottom to top, you can trace the route the spam took to get to you. The more people bother the wrong service providers, the less effective anti-spam efforts are. If you really want to stop spam you need to know how to identify the actual server that let these non-selective bottom feeders into the pond. Then you need to send a copy of the message WITH the headers to [EMAIL PROTECTED], where "domain.com" is the actual domain of the server with the loose morals. If you can't do that, or don't want to bother to learn, then please just use the delete key and enjoy the spam. Doing the wrong thing is worse than doing nothing. If you like, we can trace the next spam that hits MapInfo-L and let everybody on the list send that server's owner (and its upstream provider's owner) a request to secure their server. 2000 complaints to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ought to get noticed. - Bill Thoen --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 5221
