But first make sure it's really from hotmail. Most spams are forged, but
if you read the Received: headers from bottom to top, you can trace the
route the spam took to get to you. The more people bother the wrong
service providers, the less effective anti-spam efforts are. 

If you really want to stop spam you need to know how to identify the
actual server that let these non-selective bottom feeders into the pond. 
Then you need to send a copy of the message WITH the headers to 
[EMAIL PROTECTED], where "domain.com" is the actual domain of the server 
with the loose morals. If you can't do that, or don't want to bother to 
learn, then please just use the delete key and enjoy the spam. Doing the 
wrong thing is worse than doing nothing.

If you like, we can trace the next spam that hits MapInfo-L and let 
everybody on the list send that server's owner (and its upstream 
provider's owner) a request to secure their server. 2000 complaints 
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ought to get noticed.
