I had a data set with 11 million points.  I ended up splitting it into chunks of no 
more the 2 million points.  I would make sure there is sufficient overlap in your 
polygons used to select sub regions for TIN creation, this help eliminate triangle 
side length errors producing 'slivers'.  Also make sure your selection area regions 
are created with the polygon tool not the rectangle tool.  All rectangles should be 
N-S/E-W oriented i.e. - at right angels.  When you've made each sub-region of points 
into individual TIN's then your can use the stamp tool to build the larger grid.

I am trying to create a slope analysis map. What is the maximum number of
points that may be processed when creating a TIN?
I have close to 12 million points and keep getting an out of memory error.
I just put 1.5 GB of memory in my machine.
What is the most points anyone else has used?
