Hi all,

I have an access database containing a whole load of
attribute data. I have a MI table containing
geographic data. I have a program that looks at the
access database, matches an ID field in both access
and MI and updates columns in the MI table.

BUT...In my MI table, there are some records I don't
want to update, but the Add Column command overwrites
everything including the records I don't want
over-written, even when I specify that the where
clause in Add Column...

Is there anyway of gett the Add Column command to ONLY
update records where the ID field matches and leave
the non-matches alone?

I can re-design the program, but I'm being lazy and
don't want and hopefully someone has a quick fix idea.

Thanx
Ben
