Listers

Just to clarify the situation with regard to other postings on this, and
similar topics regarding MapX Mobile and compatible versions of PocketPC.

It is true to say that most commercially available applications were
targeted at PocketPC 2002, simply until a few months ago that was the latest
OS available. I can't speak for other software developers, but certainly
our product, HandyGIS (www.handygis.com) was released for PocketPC 2003
simultaneously with Microsoft's release.

Best regards
John Williams

Hi Will,

My understanding is that MapXmobile doesn't run on CE, just on PocketPC.
But if you choose to go with GeoXT and ArcPad, you may wish to look at MI2AP
(www.avantra.com.au/mi2ap.htm).

MI2AP converts all elements of a MapInfo map to and from an ArcPad map
(including the data, imagery, projection files, symbology and layer settings
such as labelling and zoom layering), as well as offering data entry form
generation. Please drop me a line if you need more information.

Best Regards,

Martin Higham
