Hopefully someone can help me or the PC gets it.

I've just installed MI 7.0 (patched) on a new machine with Windows 2000 SP
3, 512mb and I'm getting the following as soon as I start MI:

Hidden MAPINFOW.EXE - Application Error. The instruction at "??????"
referenced memory at "??????". The memory could not be "read". click OK to
terminate the program or cancel to debug

(??????= I can't remember the numbers)

I've tried rebooting, repairing, uninstalling, reinstalling, installing MI
version 5.5, installing Win 2000 SP4.

I've checked the archive and there are quite a few instances of this but
only two possible solutions- upgrade to Win XP (not possible for me) or
replace the memory. Can anyone shed any light on this before I try the
later?

Thanks,

Ian Hull
