Sarah, 2 options: 1)check that your spool space is large enough.
when you print, windows spools the file to a hidden folder on your PC, to find it, go Windows Start>settings>>printers and under teh FILE menu , click on 'server properties', then click on advanced. Its normally held some where like C:\WINNT\system32\spool\PRINTERS which is fine providing that your C drive isnt also stuffed full of temp files and internet garbage... BUT most c drives are 'full of stuff', so it eventually runs out of room, your 60% transparency carries a very heavy filesize payload, and I am guessing that whilst it 'used to work' you have since filled your C drive with 'other stuff' and windows will sacrifice your spool capaacity to maintain its swapfile file space and those all important 'cookies'... so, either clean up your C drive and 'make room' for th espool, or better still get windows to spool to a separate and very large partition dedicated to just spooling. (my E drive is set to do this...tis v handy for some of those 4gig transparent-translucency traumas that Mapinfo sometimes makes makes) 2) if you are using HP plotters check that you havent switched to using postscript when you previously used HPGL. I have found translucency is a lot easier to print via HPGL drivers (in fact i get nowt from teh PS versions for our hp5000) regards r ********************************************************************* This e-mail message, and any files transmitted with it, are confidential and intended solely for the use of the addressee.
