One thing I've found useful with my home copy of XP is the 'Compatibility Wizard' - you can set some programs to run in what I assume is emulation mode, eg if it behaved itself under 98, set it to run as if it still were. Look under the help - not sure about hardware issues though.
It sorted out my problems with Office 97 anyway... I compile MB files from within UltraEdit, and this line in MI_Compile.bat used to work fine: start/wait "c:\Program Files\MAPINFO\MapBasic\MAPBASIC.EXE" -NOSPLASH -D %1.mb Now I get an error: 'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I suppose I need more quotes; does anyone know where? -- - Bill Thoen ------------------------------------------------------------ GISnet, 1401 Walnut St., Suite C, Boulder, CO 80302 tel: 303-786-9961, fax: 303-443-4856 http://www.gisnet.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 9467 ******************************************************************** This email may contain information which is privileged or confidential.
