Hi Uffe and all the other listers who have helped!

I've nearly cracked this now, I can now get the query to select the
correct Asset ID, out of the four tables.

However :p

I can't seem to find a way to select the object from the corresponding
asset_id and insert it into the new table. This means i can't hit find
selection to go to the selected asset!

Could someone please point me in the right direction! I've tried using
SELECT ASSET_ID, OBJ FROM VALVES but this only returns to me the
information that the object is originally a point value.....

Thanks

Jonathan

Yes.

It goes like this:

SELECT ASSET_ID FROM VALVES where asset_id=somevalue into tmp1
commit table tmp1 as "newtable"
open table "newtable"
SELECT ASSET_ID FROM HYDRANTS where asset_id=somevalue into tmp1
insert into newtable select * from tmp1
SELECT ASSET_ID FROM METERS where asset_id=somevalue into tmp1
insert into newtable select * from tmp1
SELECT ASSET_ID FROM PRV where asset_id=somevalue into tmp1
insert into newtable select * from tmp1

Kind regards
