Yes, as expected. The TIFF *could* be much smaller (like PNG format), but MI saves it uncompressed, producing such huge files. For my purposes I never had much success with WMF, as it seems to "forget" several parts of a drawing, f.e. raster bitmaps. > PDF995 (Free downloadable PDF maker) 557 Kb Thanks for the tip. I've been looking for an alternative pdf maker already, as Acrobat 4 can be a pain in the ass sometimes - especially with some raster images and with transparent patterns. So I'll give PDF995 a try. > Other solutions are to save as Tiff and then save the Tiff in an XL > spreadsheet cell which can then be opened in XL since everyone has XLand > seriously reduces the file size, another to save as Tiff and convert to > Gif but this didn't work for me. Meanwhile you can replace GIF with PNG in almost all cases. All web browsers and graphic tools support PNG and other than GIF, PNG is free (no licenses for users or programmers), supports 32 bit colors (GIF only 256 colors) and uses a better packing algorithm. If you need to convert image formats I always recommend IrfanView. A TIFF to anything conversion should be no problem with this tool, even big files should work without problems.
