Title: RE: MI-L Graduated Thematic Map Question

Hi Steve,

Can I make I get more examples in the legend? The current three ranges are 180, 90, and 18. It is difficult to guess what the symbol shows is (somewhere between 180 and 90).

Is there a way to label them by their individual range number without creating a label for each one by hand? My boss wants to know what the count is for each symbol. It’s number of elementary schools by zip code on a color thematic map that shows percentage of children below poverty.  He would like the number displayed in the zip code. Maybe I’m gong about it the wrong way. I tried to geocode to the zip code (then I could use the albel) but the zip code file does not let me geocode. Any suggestions?

Thank you again,

Valerie

You have infinite gradations, but only three "examples" in the legend.

Subject: MI-L Graduated Thematic Map Question

Hello All,

I've checked the archives and found the same question asked a couple of
times and one answer. I'm trying to make a graduated thematic map and
can only get three gradations.  The one response in the archives said to
go to step three of the thematic map making and choose ranges. I don't
have a ranges choice, I only have settings and legend. Neither one
allows a range change. How can I get more ranges in the graduated
thematic map? Or do I need to do something else?

Thank you for your help!

Valerie
