Isnt it just that ur not embedding the fonts?

If u don’t embed the font and view the pdf from a machine that doesn’t have these fonts in the library, they wont show up.

Maybe im wrong, just a thought.

Subject: [MI-L] Curse of the black spot

Listers:

I have hundreds of custom symbols, mostly highway symbols, that I have been using for years without trouble.  Lately I have been getting black boxes when I print these to an Adobe printer or a PDF file.  They show up just fine on the screen.  I have tried changing the pallets and color depth for the bitmaps.  I've changed all of the Advanced printer settings.  I even saved the whole map as a registered tiff, had only the image open in the mapper and still got black boxes when I printed to PDF (using pdf995).

 What's going on here?

Joe
