As long as the app isn't using any 4.5 functions, you can edit
the very top of the mbx file and change the 451 to 410. This
works with tables too. You must use an editor that won't mess up
the binary stuff just below the top three lines (so use something
like debug.exe or better).

This is about as risky as tearing off mattress labels or touching
things with signs on them that say "Wet Paint" or throwing out
unopened first notices for payment, but what the heck... you only
live once. But do anything wrong or make any bad assumptions
about what your editor does to a file, and as soon as you run it,
your app will expire grotesquely like the guy in the last Indiana
Jones movie who "chose poorly" when he drank from the wrong
cup...

The safest choice for those who wish to tread the path of the
righteous is, of course, to upgrade. ;-)
