The same advice can also be carefully followed regarding .tab and .wor files, minus
the bit about using a safe
(non-Windows) editor. Older MapInfo products usually silently ignore newer features.
Any objects with greater
than 32k nodes, for example, just won't show up in MI 3.x mappers.
Worth a try.
