PINE IS my less labor-intensive email client.

Longtime-MI-readers may vaguely recall my poem of close to a year ago,
an ode about leaving the list temporarily, and when I came back, I'd be
using GroupWise, which I managed to rhyme with drupe-wise, (and a few of
you of botanical ilk even knew what I meant.)

It turned out to be MUCH less efficient (slower, more keystrokes, harder
to maintain distribution lists, more wrist pain (the crux of the matter,
for me.) So I happily switched back to my unix-based client. Space is a
concern for me, as well, hence my request for the smaller text-based
messages.

(Believe me, I'm not opposed to improvements in formatting information. I
rather consider that one of my specialties.)

By the way, folks might be interested to know that I subscribed MI-L to
www.mail-archive.com. This service is similar to the searchable email on
the MapInfo site, but it enables you to see a few lines of each search
result (saving the ever-elusive unnecessary clicks). I like the formatting
better as well. I still use an email client to read the mail, but now I
can do better battle with my pack-rat tendencies (Delete, Delete, Delete)
with more confidence that I might still find what I might need in the
future.

Lots of other cool searchable email lists there too. Don't worry: your
email address is removed from the message. It is not going to generate
spam.

Here's an entirely off-topic note: Pictures from My Trip To Hawaii.

Sorry: couldn't resist that one. You know how we are with our "Project
D'jour"

Enjoy!
