Angela,
I'm (still) using 3.0.6 (on Sun SPARC primarily, Win95 secondarily).
Unless/until MapInfo comes out with an upgrade for SPARC, I'll be using
3.0.x until the hardware dies.
I'm also using MapBasic for this platform (and have built a custom
application which accesses an Oracle database).
I'll be happy to try to answer any questions you might have.
