Dear list members,
This functionality is also present in Discover, an add-on created by Encom
Technology, that tailors MapInfo for use with the exploration industry. In
Discover, you choose the Display Images menu item. This will allow you to
hot link to Word Documents, Excel Spreadsheets or a registered/unregistered
raster image. These various files can be associated with any spatial object
in MapInfo, be they points, lines or polygons.
For additional information, please see the Encom website at www.encom.com.au

An application called IMAGES+ (by ExaMin) will do just this and more. We
use it for Geological applications all the time. Contact us directly for
more information.
