Hello Melinda,

I responded to your question earlier, however, since I didn't see it in
the list, I've to assume that it's been lost!

There are a number of ways to tackle this. What I suggest is that you
add a field called "area" in the table you are making the selection
from. Update that field (area) with the area of boundaries (update
yourtable set area = area(obj, "sq km"). Then get the area of Houston.
select * from yourTable where area < houston(area).

Copy selection to the cosmetic layer. Make cosmetic layer editable. Get
the centroid (X and Y) info of Houston by using get info tool in query
menu or by double clicking on (uneditable) Houston map. The centroid
info is in Center X and Y.

Open Houston in a mapper window by itself and tile the windows.

Double click in one of the selected objects you copied in (editable) the
cosmetic layer. Replace the Center X and Y with Houston's. Select
Houston Window. Make cosmetic layer editable and hit paste. Now you can
make comparisons, etc and output your map. You could the same for the
other selected areas.

If this is not helpful and need more step by step instructions, please
let me know.

I hope this meets your requirements.
