What is probably wrong is that the WOR is calling a local .TAB file which is
referenced to the mdb file.  Open the TAB file in Notepad and see if all the
Column names are there.  Since you added one, it probably won't be in the
TAB file.  

The easiet thing to do is: You can either add the column name and it's type
to the TAB file or, from within Mapinfo, open the MDB (not the TAB) and
overwrite the tab file when it warns you.  Then Close All and open the
workspace again.  The tab will have been updated to reflect your Access
changes.

Editing the Workspace is alright, as long as you get all the references out
(remember not just file name, but the Layer 1,2,etc that it falls on in the
Create Map section).
