We've had the best of luck with Tony Cooley's Worldreg utility, available
for free from the MapInfo-L FTP site or
http://members.aol.com/mapdata/
We paid for the more deluxe version which *instantly* reads BSB nautical
charts which we use all the time. We've found WorldReg to be the best sort
of MapInfo utility (cheap or free, no bugs, does what it says it will do
quickly and efficiently). Highly recommended!
