1. You mean the native code introduced in HADOOP-8235. Yes, that looks like a
good place to add the new functionality.
2. Let me look at that. In general I am trying to keep code changes/renames as
minimal as possible to ease merging.
3. I thought about it but PID=ProcessIdentifier still kind of makes sense even
if you use the job object as the process identifier :P
