Aye - there's the rub! The inability to hide freehand text at
certain scales is a real annoyance. Has anyone else come across
this problem? Any other suggestions?

Rudy, thanks for giving me a way to handle the freehand labels
issue. However I have a question for the Caliper folk --

Why isn't there an "Overlaps" tab in the Manual Labels menu, to deal
with the freehand scaling issue, just as there is in the Automatic
Labels menu (you know, the one between "Labels" and "Frames")?
