Layout mode is one of the real weaknesses of Maptitude. I don't
recall 4.1 well enough to remember if it had the same layout tools as
the current version (4.7). In the toolbar under the menu, there are 8
or 10 buttons that do things like "pull to front" and "align left
edge."
As far as not opening a layout, it seems like the problems are
usually due to either deleting a file or moving the layout or map
into a different folder on the computer. Unfortunately, there is no
ability to edit a layout file (the way you can edit a MapInfo layout
file).
