I've never tired this but it sounds like something worth looking into, if you are looking to parce out unique fields within Maptitude, using the "Adding Records to a New Table". A quick read leads me to think that you can create a new table containing only the unique values from another table. I never tired it though, so I apologies for not having a quick solution for you. Maybe someone has had success using this feature and can tell you more.

I, normally, export my table out to MSAccess and create a new query were I create a SQL statement using the "DISTINCT" command and dump my unique fields to a new query table and reference that.

Subject:        [Maptitude] Selecting features with a unique value

I have a compact geographic layer with 575,915 polygons in it, and each
polygon has a parcel number attached to it. My problem is that many of
them have the same parcel numbers. Is there any automatic way to
generate a list that would tell me what unique parcel numbers are
included in the file, or, alternatively, selecting polygons that have
the same parcel number as another polygon (automatically, not by doing a
couple hundred thousand selects).

What I'm hoping for is something to match Excel's "Filter - Advance
Filter - Unique Records Only" feature.

Thanks!
