How about SelectByQuery()?
I don't have any experiences with this command, but I would assume that you can accomplish your goal with an SQL SELECT DISTINCT without having to leave Mapt.

Subject: [Maptitude] Selecting features with a unique value

I have a compact geographic layer with 575,915 polygons in it, and each
polygon has a parcel number attached to it. My problem is that many of
them have the same parcel numbers. Is there any automatic way to
generate a list that would tell me what unique parcel numbers are
included in the file, or, alternatively, selecting polygons that have
the same parcel number as another polygon (automatically, not by doing a
couple hundred thousand selects).

What I'm hoping for is something to match Excel's "Filter - Advance
Filter - Unique Records Only" feature.

Thanks!
