Hello Doug, As Stephen suggested, I would recommend using the "Merge by Value" command.
I would recommend opening the "table" of your parcel layer by itslef -- your table is probably in the form of a Maptitude "bin" file, so to open it you would simply do File-Open, change the "file type" to "Fixed-Format Binary (*.bin)", then browse for your table -- it will probably share the same as your "cdf" file of the layer. Once you have the table for your layer open in its own Dataview, use the "Merge By Value" command under the "Tools" menu. In the Merge by Value dialog box, choose your parcel number field as the option for the "Based on" setting. This will create a new bin file with one entry for each unique value of "parcel number". --- In [email protected], "Douglas Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > I have a compact geographic layer with 575,915 polygons in it, > and each polygon has a parcel number attached to it.
