Use ScreenHunter free screen capture and alloqs
you to select the region and choose the output file format. I have used this
with Maptitude to make images for reports, posters and PowerPoint. If you need
higher qualiuty, turn up the resolution on your monitor. The copy/paste function
works fine but it is a .bmp files which is often quite large. Using the
save-to-file capability allows jpgs, gif The paid for version offers
