There are a number of ways that you can accomplish this. Perhaps the
easiest is to export your area layer as a layer of centroid points.

1) Under the tools menu, select export.
2) Set options as desired
3) Before clicking on the "OK" buton, check the "Export as Centroid
Points" box.

Your new point layer will contain one point for each of your parcels,
where the point describes its geographic center.

Subject
[Maptitude] Assigning coordinates for a point in each of many areas

Hi. I am new to Maptitude. I added my own layer from a shapefile. It
consists of property parcels. Is there a method to assign coordinates
to my data or export the table with fields for lon and lat?
I would like to have only 1 point assigned to each record with the lat
and lon in the decimal format. (The same as what appears in Maptitude
while hovering with the mouse pointer over the parcel.)
