Dear Jeff:

Import the file. xls in Maptitude (File - Open Excel Worksheet ...) and save it
(file.dbf) Then I advise you to create an id column (integer). Next, select the
column you want to fill and click the right mouse button on it. go to fill ...
enjoy! :-D

J.Carlos Ferrari

Thanks, folks, for all the suggestions.

Two follow up questions.

I've got the data in decent shape in Excel, but have not had the "Fill" command
available under the Edit part of the menu. Any thoughts about what I might
need to do?

I also came up with a workaround of bringing in the data only for the district
I want to highlight and making a prism map out of that result. The problem
there is that each of the districts appear to look identical in the prism map.

I look forward to your input.

Jeff

Given the diversity of responses, I'm not exactly sure we all get what you're
trying to do. But have you looked into the "District Reports" function??
(Tools... Geographic Utilities... District Reports).
