--------------------------------------------------------------------- The Evening Bridge - April 21, 2005 --------------------------------------------------------------------- TOP STORY - As reported this morning, Comcast and Time Warner will get Adelphia through a multi-billion-dollar transaction. The deal will need regulatory approval, and attorneys representing Adelphia's creditors said this afternoon the sale process is far from over. "We are disappointed the bankruptcy court authorized what we consider to be excessive deal protections, and that the current winning bid did not meet our expectations," said Peter Morgenstern of Bragar Wexler Eagel and Morgenstern, a law firm representing the Adelphia Equity Committee. He added that Adelphia's board is obligated to consider future unsolicited offers superior to the Time Warner/Comcast transaction, and said it could be another eight to 12 months before Adelphia's reorganization plan comes up for a vote among creditors and shareholders.

'DVRs enjoyed a very high performance gain (119 percent) due to their low installed base, growing by only 3.5 million units. Most of this increase came not from retail but from set-top box DVRs provided by DBS and cable providers,'" Centris says. Want to see more?
