TOP STORY -- In an internal company e-mail, Qwest warned it's 16,000
managers that they may have to take on union worker responsibilities if
the employees strike later this year. The Denver-based telcom isn't
expecting a work stoppage, but if the company's 25,000 employees who
belong to the Communications Workers of America District 7 cant settle
their contract disputes, Qwest managers will not be allowed time off in
August to compensate.
