OpenOffice.org is the leading Open Source office suite. Due to its platform independence and its open XML-based file format, it can easily be integrated into any workplace or development environment. Available for a vast number of languages, OpenOffice.org can be seen as the worldwide leading standard in free office suites. Apart from a word processor including a PDF-export functionality, it has modules for spreadsheet, presentation, drawing and the new HSQL database. Moreover, OpenOffice.org is able to im- and export many common formats and, talking of compatibility and interoperability, contains an integrated wizard for the conversion of various existing document formats. Through its open interface and macro language support it is well suited for integrating it into your own products.
