Lets hope that we can agree to never always agree with everything everyone else says. One of the most amazing things about OpenSource is that we can disagree without that slowing us down. Diversity breeds serendipity.
If i felt strongly enough about it then i am free to present an alternative and see how much support that gets. I wont because i don't have the skills for it and because I am guessing that by the time Dave has heard a few more comments and then tweaked it the result will be more like the first two in the series. Dave's work looks good to me :) Regards from Tom :) ________________________________ From: Dave Johnson <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 26 December, 2010 17:36:51 Subject: Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Impress Advert with link. The previous 2 were carefully crafted with slight flaws whereas this looks like something thrown together too hastily. The model is not looking at us and doesn't seem to be engaged with anything. I did like the basic concept. I think we do need at least 1 super-hot female in this series but we could get mired in arguments about "my gf/wife/friend/me looks better than yours". I think we really need a professional model (such as my ex (joking)) & a professional photographer otherwise this is going to look like a joke. On another subject, has anyone contacted the FSF to ask them to replace the name OpenOffice with LibreOffice yet? Apols and regards from Tom :) ________________________________ From: Dave Johnson <[email protected]> To: [email protected]; [email protected] Cc: Florian Effenberger <[email protected]> Sent: Sun, 26 December, 2010 2:46:07 Subject: [libreoffice-marketing] Impress Advert with link. http://www.davefilms.us/libreoffice/Impress_Advert_12_25_2010.pdf Dave Johnson, USNFR davefilms.us... -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected]<marketing%[email protected]> List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected]<marketing%[email protected]> List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***
