Ahh, i think that if places find we link to them, even from a sub-sub-page, then it might increase their traffic and encourage people to write about us nicely.
Linking to their websites directly so that people visiting our site could see the genuine originals and see the range of people writing about LibreOffice might be more trusted by outsiders or potential newcomers. It is good to hear that someone is collecting them into a single document, or series of documents, for internal use. It is quite easy to reformat them into a standard style then and perhaps edit bits that don't make sense and typos. There might be copy-right issues in some cases. A typical distroWatch back-page includes a simple links list of reviews for each distro http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=ubuntu http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=slitaz http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=debian http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=slackware As you see it keeps it simple and minimises the work required to kep it updated. I think it would be good if we did. I am collecting the best articles, and saving them as PDF in order to have a collection of the coverage. During the week end I will publish them on a shared Evernote page to make them accessible. -- Italo Vignoli - The Document Foundation E-mail: [email protected] Mobile +39.348.5653829 - VoIP: +39.02.320621813 Skype: italovignoli - GTalk: [email protected] -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***
