Now with the Qt Project everybody is "community". :) Anyway, for this case http://texaslinuxfest.org/ would be a place to find out. They don't seem to have information about 2012 though. A year ago we were thinking of bringing Qt presence there but then #feb11 came and other priorities came... The activities of local groups are the best way to find out who is interested around. Of course the problem is to start and reach the critical mass and consolidation. I wonder if a US based Qt partner based in the US would like to help exploring this? For instance, ICS (anybody here?) organized free Qt training sessions in different locations as a way to introduce their deeper training and consulting services.
