Good day Guys,
Maybe I do not understand it or get lost among many emails. But
Would not it be better to create a CD or DVD for each Region, ie
Americas: English, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Traditional)
Europe: German, French, Spanish (Traditional) (Spain =)
Asia: Chinese, Korean, etc.
Africa: African and languages of the continent, etc.
I think all the same part of the DVD in English to understand where the
greatest efforts are made at this time.
Greetings.
We have been mandated by the TDF to focus on the North American market.
So this DVD is intended for that market and should contain materials
unique to that particular market. So, the EN will be US English; the ES
should also reflect the ES found in US/Mexico and the FR will be
FR-Canadian.
The label on the DVD will also reflect the fact that it is for that
market or for the Americas market if we all agree to this.
It only made sense to include the Central/South American markets as we
are adding the ES component to the disk.
The DVD disks will also be used by the different North American
LibreOffice communities which are still to be formed. The DVD's could be
distributed to help members who do not have internet access or limited
use of computer access. The same could be said for the Central/South
American markets and communities.
The same applies for conferences.
IMHO, it just makes sense that the Americas cooperate on one DVD if all
the materials fit on one disc.
Cheers
Marc
