Yes, the test passes on darwin, linux, and windows under active perl. My os/C compiler/perl combo (winxp sp3/.NET 2003/perl 5.14.2 compiled from source) seems to be pretty uncommon and even in it the test passes with the latest stable perl so the bug, if any, and unless it's been already fixed, looks hard to confirm.
