The count tells you how many items in the main table of your mart match your query, which may not match exactly the number of results (depending on selected dimensions). It may be higher than the actual results you get if you select any filters which apply to dimensions, because these are not included in the count (Arek please correct me if I am wrong). So it could be that the filters you have selected are dimension filters. Could you try a query with no filters at all and just one or two attributes to see if you get results?
