all the above directive comes from apache 'prefork.c' module which is
usually included in apache default installation.
In that case I might venture a guess that it's probably wiser to install
the apache2-prefork-dev package than the apache2-threaded-dev package on
Ubuntu. Unfortunately these are mutually incompatible so I can't test it
myself. I'll just keep my httpd.conf in the commented state. (as long as
it won't cause any trouble?)
