thanks, this is all so useful, will read
ps in wikipedia they mention the impact on Neurath of wartime resource
allocation, an important example (conversion of factories, direct
allocation of goods by perceived use value; there's a great anecdote on
 that in the biography of Tony Mazzocchi.)
Which is not of course to dodge the question of the use of money in the
transition period
