I can only say that I'd be interested, and eager to help in any way. For the most part, American periodicals are going to be similarly available without having to worry about actually being here. Microfilmed items can be gotten on loan through the mail, I'm almost sure. That said, there is an unbelievable amount of great movement material scanned and posted by the Bibliotheque Nationale at http://gallica.bnf.fr/ This includes mountains of material running from the left wing of the French Revolution right through the socialist and workers press of 1848 and into the twentieth century.
