Hi Ethan, I read Max Elbaum's book a few months back and found it really interesting. What I didn't really get, however, was why Line of March dissolved. It seemed to me that the group was doing some good critical thinking and good work, making about as much progress as could be expected given objective conditions etc and it had some very impressive figures involved in it. The impression I was left with, however, was that its orientation to the Jackson campaign was the beginning of getting sucked back into the orbit of the Democratic Party. After being impressed by Max E for most of the book, my heart kinda sank when he started talking about work in the Democrats.
