RS's baiting, demagogic style in this argument does him no favors. It is RS who has failed to produce solid evidence that Loughner was a racist Tea Party murderer and not a simply a very mentally ill man as an examination of what evidence does exist shows him to be. Worse it appears that the evidence does not matter much to RS. There are indeed real dangers from the racist right in the US, particularly as we lurch ever deeper into crisis, but these dangers are not served by adding to the already ample supply of demagoguery and fantasy.
