What this fake convention proves is what we on the left,and even some on the libertarian right,have been saying for decades,that the so called two party system is a sham.They are simply two wings of the same imperialist,capitalist party.Voters should have seen this coming,when liberals,like Ellen Degeneris,and Michele Obama started cozying up to reactionary war criminal George W Bush.This is the result of thirty years of neoliberalism,and moving to the right,on the part of the Dems.I am sixty years old,and have only voted for one Democrat once in my entire life,that being Jesse Jackson.I joined the Green Party in 2000,entirely because of Nader.I was very disillusioned by the Greens.Our party branch never saw any growth,nor were we ever able to reach out to the poor and working class.Then in 2017,I discovered the PSL.The growth we are seeing is amazing.
I never supported Bernie,not even in 2016,because of his imperialistic,nationalist foreign policy.Black Agenda Report was a big factor in this. The accelerationist in me secretly wants to see Trump reelected. Reminding us that the same thing that is being said about Trump was said about every Republican of the last 25 years is not one such argument. Trump really is qualitatively different from every Republican president before him. His reelection would mgive a significant boost to outright fascist forces - something that could not have been said about Reagan, Bush, etc. Well, it was said, but it was not correct. Nor do I see the comparison with the SPD having told its members to vote for Hindenberg as being valid. At that time, the German working class had two mass working class parties. The US has none and I don't think the Greens will ever develop into one either. That is why I had been seriously considering voting for Biden. Now, though, I'm watching the convention and feeling totally disgusted. I find the prospect of Biden being elected to be depressing, the prospect of Trump being reelected is genuinely frightening.
