I used to tell a story about driving around with Tecnica director Michael Urmann late at night in Managua in 1989. Since there are no street signs in Managua, it's easy to get lost. You don't tell someone that they should go to 78 Agua St. You tell them to go to the 3rd house on the road with the earthquake ruins of a local bank.

So, we were on the side of a road when a police car stopped in front of us. The cop spent 10 minutes showing us exactly where to go and another 10 talking about what a monster Reagan was. Michael said to me as we were driving off: "Imagine if that was one of Somoza's cops."
