Mike Whitney was a long-time contributor to CounterPunch who mostly
wrote about economics, with a lot of Assadist bullshit thrown in. After
he quit (or was booted) from CP, he began writing for UNZ Review, a
neo-Nazi website run by Ron Unz, who used to donate to CP. Like Whitney
and long before him, Unz turned into a neo-Nazi even though he is Jewish.
Whitney's transformation into a white supremacist is breathtaking to
behold. This is from his latest on UNZ Review. Besides plummeting
downward politically, he has also forgotten how to spell. "Alot"?

/The next day, September 5, Trump announced that the Department of
Education was going to see whether the New York Times Magazine’s 1619
Project was being used in school curricula and– if it was– then those
schools would be ineligible for federal funding. Conservative pundits
applauded Trump’s action as a step forward in the “culture wars”, but
it’s really much more than that. Trump is actually foiling an effort by
the domestic saboteurs who continue look for ways to undermine
democracy, reduce the masses of working-class people to grinding poverty
and hopelessness, and turn the country into a despotic military outpost
ruled by bloodsucking tycoons, mercenary autocrats and duplicitous
elites. Alot of thought and effort went into this malign ideological
project. Trump derailed it with a wave of the hand. That’s no small
achievement./
