As someone who remembers reading Whitney often and with interest on CP maybe ten years ago, I find this almost unbelievable. Not just the conversion as such, but the crappy level of writing and the paper thin reasoning. Often these days I wonder whether these leftists-turned-far rightists actually mean what they write? Or if decades of losing and the terrible state we’re in, together with the financial poverty of left media, has made them lose all hope and turn absolutely cynical, writing whatever pays the most for the least effort? Erst kommt das Fressen, after all. Or perhaps in some cases they might even consider themselves as accelerationist infiltrators? It happens to myself that I daydream about how much easier my life had been had I jumped the far right/Sweden Democrats bandwagon here in Sweden. I know I’ll die a communist, but I sometimes wish I had been made with more ”flexibility”.
