In my pamphlet "Capitalism and workers struggle in China" I point out that many
of the youth who participated in the Cultural Revolution, and then realised
they had been manipulated by Mao, became disillusioned, not only with Mao but
also with socialism. Some became admirers of the West and supporters of
neoliberal economics. This helped prepare the ground for the restoration of
capitalism.

Subject: [marxmail] About the Cultural Revolution

Can anyone refer me to writing on China's Cultural Revolution that advances the
thesis that it paved the way for the restoration of capitalism in the PRC?

Thanking comrades in advance.
