I am listening now to McConnell slamming Trump really mercilessly. It
makes me wonder how Trump could mount a campaign in 2024 for president
unless he has the balls to start a new party and leave the traditional
Republican Party behind. This will whet the appetite even further for
the Jacobin/DSA left to be more vicious than ever against any
independent left party running in 2024 since that might undermine the
continuing drive to make the USA a neo-Kautskyite paradise. They'll
worry that Trump might be elected given the deep decline of American
well-being under 4 years of continuing pandemic and economic crisis
he'll blame on Biden. So, even if Howie Hawkins or some other leftist
runs as a Green or an independent, he or she will still be demonized as
a "spoiler". I'll have more to say on this in relationship to the latest
rancid copy of Jacobin.
