I don't know if the above statement represents the views of the PSL. In any 
event, it is a prime example of the left sectarianism that prevents 
microvanguards from getting anywhere.

The bulk of members of trade unions in the U.S., and many other places, may 
well support "reformation of the existing capitalist/imperialist" and favor 
"working within one of the political parties that helped form this same 
system." So what. Should socialists refrain from joining unions and 
participating in their struggles? What Roger wrote goes beyond the anti-trade 
union lunacy of the Socialist Equality Party.

It is essential that socialists participate in"reformist" organizations of many 
types. That some socialists disagree with that approach is their problem, not 
the problem of the "deluded" masses.
